Well, that is our personal motto on the back of the caravan, but the January rains here in Alice certainly promoted a lot of grass growth over the next few weeks so finally in March and April Keith tackled mowing as much as possible around the perimeter of the museum. In total there was probably about 7 or 8 acres including the perimeter fence on three sides and some of the areas used for camping during the peak season and for the annual reunion. Apart from tidiness the grass also becomes a fire hazard. The tractor is a David Brown (diesel) from around the fifties but runs pretty well for it’s age. The slasher is newer but in fact is too heavy for the tractor and if you lift it too far the front wheels come off the ground a considerable distance!
