Almost 3 weeks in Gunning gave us chance to make a few trips into Canberra for shopping, sightseeing and visiting.
First tourist visit was to the National Gallery; this is just finishing a total refit with all Australian art now on the main floor (with the regional collections) and all International (European) upstairs which was still not finished and closed until early December.
Another trip to Canberra gave us around 4 hours in the War Memorial, considerably changed since our last visit in the 1980s!
