From Cecil Plains, after 3 nights, we filled up with water and headed for Millmerran and another RV park. This one is on the edge of town right opposite the dump point so being self-contained was very easy and we used our catch tank for the grey water.
We were treated to the presence of several Scaly Breasted Lorikeets who were feeding off the tree right next to our awning.
The town also has lots of murals and good local shopping with both Foodworks and IGA, large Mitre10 hardware and all the usual trades.
Nearby is their new (2006) Power Station with a lookout point on the side of Commodore Peak to provide a view of both the Power Station and adjacent coal mine. The whole complex is self sufficient and provides power into the National Grid, enough for 1.1 million homes.
Millmerran has a great local museum with admission at only $3.30 for seniors ($5.50 full). Photo gallery hosted on ImageShack, click the Link or image:
