Leaving Craggy Peaks we revisited St Helens and our old house sit for the last time and then travelled Northwards to the Policemans Point Campground; this is the Northernmost camp in the Bay of Fires coastline and is a free camp in a Conservation Area with a Hybrid Toilet block and nothing else. WE happened upon the only spot with a full water view while there were quite a lot of other campers around, presumably someone had vacated this spot earlier.

The campground is scattered around a sand dune area with well made roads and has multiple camping bays for all sizes of rigs. The beach extends along the side of the campground and around past the bar at the mouth to extend Southwards with a view all the way down the coastline to Humbug Point, just North of St Helens.

The River Mouth here is Ansons River which flows through the large body of water which is Ansons Bay; fish are apparently plentiful in here as witnessed by the amount of sea birds around the estuary.

From the river mouth you can see the Eddystone Point Lightouse in the Northern distance. (last image)
