From Mt Nancar we returned to the Darwin region as we both needed to complete our Covid Vaccinations. We returned at first to Lucys Rest and then moved down to a rural property campground on the outskirts of Berry Springs, the Malaplains Bush Retreat. The owners have only opened up the property this year for campers and have provided water to every site, a Dump Point and rubbish bins, Sites are scattered through the bush with plenty of privacy if needed and some sites have a bush shower tucked amongst the trees
Berry Springs is home to the Berry Springs Nature Reserve, another of the NT famous hot springs and thermal pools including a circular bush walk; and also next door to the NT Wildlife Park, an extensive government-owned reserve featuring NT wildlife at its best.
