Leaving Albany after our week-long stay we headed for Lucky Bay and broke the journey at the small town of Ravensthorpe, a distance of 298km leaving 245km to go. Ravensthorpe is both a pastoral community and mining town these days with the Ravensthorpe Nickel Mine to the East of town being the major operator.

The town has a Caravan Park and a free 48 hour RV stop which we stayed at overnight; a nearby information bay provides a waste tap to replenish and a Dump Pint is one block off the main road.

A quick stroll around town and images of the painted Silos, part of the WA version of the Silo Trail.
