After our 4 days at Herron Point it was a short drive to our next stop at the Tasman Caravan Park at Serpentine Falls. Our drive took us first to Pinjarra to top up on groceries, have lunch at Dome Cafe and take a walk along the Murray River at the edge of town.
The walk at Pinjarra revealed an interesting stroll around the original graveyard at the Anglican Church, the oldest in town, as well as a good view of the bridge from below, built in 1954, the 5th bridge, and controversially using timber beams when concrete was available – but here it is 70 years later .
