This short trail (1.4km) is best walked in Spring for all the flowering vegetation that is in full bloom; at this time fo ar it lends itself to showing the many shades of green that the area reveals. The Eucalyptus Macrocarpa is also known as the Bush Rose and is found only in South West Western Australia; we have seen it in flower previously during our walks in the Perth area and Narrogin last year
The Macrocara usually grows in conjunction with other low-growing shrubs and gives rise to a sometimes used description of macrocarpa to represent a type of local vegetation “patch”.
Before the flower appears there is a cone shaped cap and after flowering the flower base turns into this decorative button shape:




The walk revealed a few flowers and some interesting variants in vegetation colours and textures
