With a day free after our visit to old friends, we drove the short distance to Cape Peron and walked about 4km around the whole headland and beaches with the views to the town, the coast, and across to HMAS Stirling which occupies Garden Island and is WA’s primary Naval base and Australia’s major Submarine base.
Several walking trails run around and across the Cape and we zigzagged our way to take in as much as possible
