Undoubtedly one of Western Australia’s best known natural formations, the Bungle Bungle Range is not one of the easiest to access. The Caravan park at the entrance finally reopened after a 2 year absence but their tours are still being negotiated with the traditional owners, so it is your own vehicle or the cost of a helicopter ride.
The drive from the Caravan Park to the car park for Cathedral Gorge is a total of 77km, which took us almost 3 hours, such is the road condition but is does present some different views along the way:




We chose to walk into Cathedral Gorge and back around The Domes loop trail, and on our way back we visited the Kungkalanayi Lookout; photo gallery here, click the map:
