Heading now back to Broome we had 4 days before our booking date on the 23rd, so a logical choice to break the trip was the Mimbi Caves who have a new campground a short distance away. This view is of only one end from the adjacent ridge, the campground as a whole is almost 1km long with all individual sites and two amenities blocks with toilets, hot showers and camp kitchen.
We booked for 3 nights and for a Cave Tour on arrival; while fairly expensive at $70 each (Concession), it was great value being very different from the commercial tours in the South with their electric lighting and boardwalks. This is all natural where you need good solid footwear, a torch, and to be reasonably agile. A full photo gallery is here, click any of the 3 images:



In this gallery we combine our walk around the campground area and into the ridge behind; this is not where the caves are but another ridge to the West, going in for about 1km, we were around halfway through the ridge. Click on either map:
