Ingham, while being a Sugar Mill town is also well known for both the Tyto Wetlands Reserve and the nearby (50km) Wallaman Falls, Australia’s highest single drop waterfall.
Adjacent to the Wetlands and the Visitor Information Centre is a grassed RV Stop, available at $10/night for a maximum of 2 nights. Toilets are available at the Centre during business hours and there is a Dump Point and water filling available.
Wallaman Falls are about a 50km drive from Ingham, the first 15km being canefields, then 15km of bush and cattle country, the final 20km climbs the range into the National Park with great views on a good day but not so good today!
The falls lookouts both provide a great view, unlike some we have visited, and you can actually see top to bottom.
