December ’24 to February ’25

Since we left Queensland this was probably the longest period of Frances being able to do a Parkrun almost in each week for 10 weeks; at most Keith also volunteered as the photographer, the two in Brisbane during our Christmas visit being the exception.

Photo here of the gathering for the start of the Rocks Riverside Parkrun (Brisbane) on New Years Day; with 486 runners, by far the largest we’ve attended – and Keith not having to do photographs with some relief!

So – in chronological order:

December 14: Returning towards Perth for our Christmas flight out we managed the Centennial Park run at Dunsborough

December 21: Spending the last 3 days at Jarrahdale allowed us to do the Jarrahdale Heritage Parkrun, a gravel surface run in the forest adjacent to town

January 1: Missing the Christmas week we did pick up the New Years Day Rocks Riverside Parkrun with it’s 486 runners!

January 4: Harris Avenue Parkrun at Narangba

January 11, back in Perth: For the first 2 runs back in Perth we visited a couple of different runs, first the Canning River Parkrun in the suburb of Wilson

January 18: Shelley Parkrun alongside the Canning River

January 25 onwards: Homestead Parkrun, our adopted “home” event while we have been in and out of Perth being the closest to the Caravan park and easy to get to – as well as a bunch of lovely friendly people. Four events in a row here and a volunteer picture including Keith; I reached my 25 volunteerings milestone here.

January 25: A wet run for a change!
