One of the great little free camping spots that you can only get to if you don’t mind a bit of dirt road travel. Coming from Gunning via Crookwell we passed over a few kms of road being constructed ready for sealing and after another few kms of bitumen a final 5km of dirt before reaching the top of the Abercrombie Gorge and a steep descent on bitumen again.
The Campground starts with the open area (right) with small toilet block and extends into the riverside bush to the right (below).
With only one other caravan here about 200m away from us it was very quiet and peaceful with some of the usual bird species including Friar Birds this time.
