Bega as a town is the regional centre for the area having by far the largest range of shops and services with both Coles and Woolworths Supermarkets, Target, BigW and many local shops and service industries. It also has the regional Hospital, opened in 2016. A few interesting old buildings and, of course, the Bega Cheese factory, which we didn’t get to being without our Landcruiser for most of the week waiting for parts to arrive. The workshop finally finished it on Tuesday morning having worked on it on Sunday as well. Here are a few images of various aspects of the town and a look at the Bega River and the proximity of farming to the very edge of the township.
