June 5 – July 27
Above: The whole family – almost!
We always seem to spend longer in Brisbane than we intend but I suppose that is part of the joy of having such a wonderul family! With the time split about equally between staying at Zoe’s and Laura’s we achieved only a few minor things for ourselves but did spend time at Laura’s moving the built in furniture made for her at New Year into a different room – good job it was all screwed together with minimal attachment to the walls!
This culminated in also fitting a pair of doors to what is now the Master Bedroom/Office which was previously an open double wide doorway.
One of the highlights was getting the whole family photographed by Anna’s boyfriend Ron.
This time, unlike Sept 2013 before our adventures began, Renee and Thomas were in the country and in Brisbane – and we have 2 more grandchildren in the pictures! Only Thomas’ wife Xinxin, and our youngest grandson Xiaou Yu were missing as they are still in China until the end of the year.
This time all the partners were also there and our three “step grandchildren”, Axel (Laura’s husband’s) children.
Many thanks to Ron, pictured with Anna and Ollie, but otherwise missing from the photos. These were all taken in the Mount Coot-Tha Botanic Gardens on a beautiful Winter’s day.
Intending this time to head for the Gulf of Carpentaria we finally left Laura’s for Maleny on July 28.
