Leaving Franklin again we ventured via Cygnet and over the hills to Oyster Cove and to Kettering for the Bruny Island Ferry, making it just in time for the 12 midday crossing although the ferry runs every 30 minutes now they have two vessels operating. We crossed on the two deck Mirambeena which was operating when we lived in Tassie in the 1990s. The return fare with a caravan is $75 (concession) which is quite a reasonable cost for the 15 minute crossing.
The video here is about 9 minutes in length and is the drive from Huonville, starting along the Esplanade, via Cygnet and Oyster Cove to the Ferry at Kettering and across to Bruny.
