Bundoora Dam was constructed by Anglo American Coal downstream from the German Creek Mine to provide a recreational area for the mine workers and visitors; there is a large grassy camping area, boat ramp, toilets, picnic tables and BBQs
Our first few days were spent with a few other rigs and the dam was more of a bird sanctuary as the video shows.
At the weekend the school holidays started and the dam became a playground:
