With a sunny morning, although still only about 17 degrees, we set off to walk a combination of local trails from the caravan park along the river (The Mokare Trail) past the town (Community Park Trail) and back via the bush along the Karri Trail. Anti-clockwise on the map.

Along the way we took a look at the town centre and picked up a great loaf of fresh multigrain bread from the local bakery.

The first part of the trail takes us to the bridge in town and includes some miniature Fairy Doors on the trees and one little Fairy House, they even have facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/DenmarkRiverFairyDoorsWA/

..the next section takes us about another kilometre upstream along the Community Walk Trail and surprised us with “The Sanctuary“, an octagonal building with an earth roof and an outdoor “Gondwana Garden” garden of sculptures. The path continues over a footbridge to the Kwoorabup Community Park and so into town.

.. the return back to the Caravan Park was via the Karri Trail ..
