The Montague State Forest is now part of the Dryandra Woodland National Park but is a separate 4000-hectare parcel with farmland between it and the Lol Gray section. A little different again in that it has distinct ridges across the centre which one of the walking trails traverses.

There are two designated walks in here and while not publicised as much as the rest of the Dryandra walks are well-signed internally since the National Park was created in 2022. It was the Alltrails App which led us to these.

Access is from the Wandering Narrogin Road only a few hundred metres North of the Cuballing Road West intersection.

Kwongan Walk

The shorter Walk at 2.1km, the Kwongan Walk is a flatter area starting and finishing from a small parking area.

Three Mesas Walk

The Three Mesas is a longer walk of around 3.3km with more undulating terrain :
