Ellenborough Falls is the second highest in the Southern hemisphere, the highest being the Wallaman Falls west of Ingham in Queensland.

This was about a 150km round trip from Firefly travelling via Wingham and including great scenery as you climb the final part of the ranges on a narrow and winding gravel road.

Once at the falls there are walking tracks to lookout from the side and across the head of the gorge, as well as to the bottom.  We chose to go around to the opposite side where you get the best view.[

The path was very easy to negotiate and even Tess, with her injured leg, managed all except the few steps.
