Our first week back in Perth and a 6.4kkm walk yesterday at Ellis Brook going up over the Northern ridge then down to the old Quarry and over the top again to the Sixty Foot Falls. This is only a 10 minute drive from the Caravan Park and one of the longest of several available walks and combinations.

The terrain is mixed with some stony sections but thankfully not much pea gravel to make it slippery; the altitude gain is about 160m from the carpark to the summits of both ridges so in all you do about 260m of climbing. Some great views back across the city and surrounds, even to the Fremantle Silos and lots of wildflowers still around including a few orchids and a couple of new finds for us.
