September 2023

During our time in Perth we made two trips to Fremantle by train; the Maddington Station is only a 7 minutes drive from the caravan park and our Smart Traveller cards give us travel at $2.07 per journey with a maximum charge of two journeys per day; station car parking at $2 is also done via the card.
Our first trip took in a visit to the Fremantle Prison, the Roundhouse and the Shipwreck Museum and included a lunch at Cicerello’s at the Fishing harbour.
The first part of our day took us through the streets to the Prison; this time we only took a stroll around the visiting area but will come back for one of their tours at a later date.

From the Prison we strolled down to the Fishing Boat Harbour for Lunch and across Bather’s Beach, our first step onto an Indian Ocean Beach

From here we proceeded to the Roundhouse, the oldest building in Fremantle

Our final destination for the day was the Shipwreck Museum, a fascinating collection and part of the WA Museums
