January 12-30, 2021
Having spent the Christmas period at daughter Zoe’s at Moggill we had to leave there on Jan 12 as they had sold the house and were moving (..and no caravan space at the new one in Chapel Hill..). SO first stop Ipswich Showgrounds top picture at the left) in order to help out a bit with the removals then a short country loop while Keith waits for new glasses and a couple of medical appointments. The first stop then was the Eumundi Showgrounds, new to us as the RV Stop is closed due to the Covid requirements. While here Keith spent a morning with Glen from Full Range Camping to catch up on a few things and we also took in the Wednesday markets and the Friday evening food market.
From Eumundi the long weekend was upon us and in order to avoid all the crowded coast and hinterland we headed for the tiny locality of Widgee, West of Gympie, and their Showgrounds camping for three days. A basic showground with good showers, toilets and power, but no drinking water we had only a couple of other regular vanners and a small group of land Rover owners group who were tenting it.

The next stop was Goomeri and Showgrounds again, we had only paused once here for Dump Point and water and now stayed for five days at which point our fridge seemed not to be working on gas; being still under warranty we were recommended a service agent in Tin Can Bay and arranged to go there next and fix the problem.
While at Goomeri we walked a few kms of the Rail Trail as shown below.
