Jabiru, and the Aurora Kakadu Resort, was our first “camp” in the Park. Having booked an aerial tour for Frances’ birthday it was a good choice to stay in the town and prices were very reasonable for a nice very shady site – and our first encounter with Green Tree Ants in any quantity!
We took a walk around the lake which was originally constructed as a recreational facility when the town was developed for the nearby Ranger uranium mine; it didn’t take long for Crocodiles to find the lake in the wet season so it has never been used as intended.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column_inner]
