The Keep River National Park lies right along the border with Western Australia to the North of the Victoria Highway and offers two campgrounds. We first stayed at the Jarnem one which is the furthest in at about 30km, some of which was very corrugated. It was here that our fridge decided to suddenly increase in temperature, a problem we were still to be resolving many weeks later.

The Jarnem Campground offers the usual NP hybrid toilets and picnic tables scattered around with a good amount of space in a rough circle. Adjacent to the start of the walking trails it’s great spot froa couple of days. The longest loop trail is around 7km including the lookout which we commenced at 7.00am as the days were already around the 40 degree mark by late morning; we finished around 10.30 which was certainly late enough!   The photos don’t really do justice to the stunning views that unfold along this walk
