This is a National Park Campground with fees of $13/night via a self registration box on site and has composting toilets and untreated water. Lots of spaces with trees and open areas and this wonderful bay to look out on. First impressions were much above what we had expected, another of tassie’s little gems of a campground.
We arrived here from Sorell after our mail finally arriving and a drive of 86kms, a bit long for us lately!

It doesn’t take long when you arrive before the local friendly Magpie finds you, and this place was no exception. The local Kookaburra was watching on as well from a nearby stump.

The Bay here is divided in half by a small central rocky outcrop and each side offers a shallow beach with a sand “boat ramp” on the Western half (you are facing north across the beach here).
As everywhere down this coast the water is crystal clear but a bit cool for swimming yet I think!
