So we farewelled Lucky Bay after a great 4 days, one of those places you could just keep staying., and moved on to the Esperance Bay Holiday Park.

Farewell to Lucky Bay

Along the way, we stopped at the lookout points near Frenchman Peak, and then at Stonehenge.

Views at Frenchman Peak (and the climbers at the top) :

Esperance Stonehenge; an exact replica of the original in the UK as it would have been when constructed around 1950BC. This was planned to be a Tourist Attraction near Margaret River and the stones were ordered from an Esperance quarry close to the present site in 2007, cut from the local Pink Granite; unfortunately, the original entrepreneur suffered financial difficulties in the subsequent GFC and the project was abandoned. In 2010 the then landowner / farmer who had followed the quarrying process negotiated to buy the stones and erect them where they are today, the process took 10 months and was completed in October 2011.
