Just across the river from our location is the Inland Botanic Garden; featured on Gardening Australia by Jane Edmonson whose parents were among the early contributors to its development. Entirely run by volunteers it covers 124 acres, has no entry fee but a Cafe and gift shop and multiple locations where you can leave a donation.
We spent over 2 hours on our first visit in an afternoon and as the gardens close at 4 pm left to return a couple of days later in the morning and spent another 2+ hours on the other half. The photo gallery says it all, these are around 90 images out of almost 300.
