Before finally getting away we had one more week in Ipswich and decided to complete a little project we had put off – to convert the bottom of our bed into 2 pull out drawers so as to access the area without having to lift the bed every time. Not that this might be THE last mod; there is always something else comes up!
Having already moved the Printer out from under here to our new stand under the window, we now had the printer supplies (paper, refills etc.) all still stored under the bed.
In addition we had never had a storage location for our laptop and now we have 2 (thanks to Laura) the problem had doubled.
It became a bit of a constructional jigsaw to get the left hand drawer in place because of the partition between the bedroom and living area; this prevented the drawer being fitted from the front after installing the runners so we had to fit the runners with the drawer in place at the same time – sort of like building a kitchen cabinet from the inside!
While here we had a lunch visit with Olivia, Anna and their children in Queens Park:
