Oyster Harbour is the body of water that the Kalgan River flows into on the way to the larger King George Sound which embraces the Albany coast. Along the shoreline, a short walk from the road bridge are the Fish Traps which were in use for thousands of years by the local people; they were noted by the first Europeans to visit the area in 1791.
They have been excavated and partially restored and boardwalk constructed; unfortunately it was not low tide when we visited and only part of one can be seen at the end of the boardwalk.
All up a pleasant return walk of 3.5km from the bridge although visitors can drive to the boardwalk area.
