As our week here came to an end we took a walk and the hill behind the Caravan Park along the Link Track and others which circles around the MTB trails on the hillside, a circular walk (anti-clockwise) of 3.4km.
A surprise find was the old Trout Ponds on Swimming Pool Brook which date back to 1940 and were abandoned in the 1950s in favour of the development of a new one which still operates today on Lefroy Brook above the Freshwater Research Centre and the old Hydro Power Station.
