Leaving Narembeen we travelled via York and stopped for lunch, parking in the town RV stop and walking across the river.

Settling in again to the Crystal Brook Caravan Park for what was going to be 2 weeks became almost four due to organising various maintenance jobs on the caravan and the delays in getting the service work scheduled.
The Saturday was Frances’s first opportunity for a Parkrun since Kalgoorlie:

We re-acquainted ourselves with the bush over the road for short walks but we still have to tackle the climb to the top.

Having walked several trails in the area last time around we took a short drive to Victoria Dam and walked the loop trail, turning the minimum 6.3km walk into almost 8km. The original Victoria Dam was Perth’s first built in 1891 and was in use for 100 years until the building of the “New” Victoria Dam opened in 1991; a section of the old dam wall has been preserved and bears a commemorative plaque.

We finished the month with a lunch at “The Cray” at Belmont having to go to the area for a new caravan tyre and preceded lunch with a short stroll along the Swan River
