Potters Gorge has the main campground, and the only one for Caravans, in the Wellington National Park; with a well spaced out area, multiple toilet facilities, although only drop ones, every site has a picnic table and basic BBQ.

The area offers several walks, many of them quite lengthy (at least for us!) but we did manage to do a short walk on Saturday, after our arrival, to the Dam Wall and back via the Quarry and the shoreline, mostly this is part of the Sika Trail.

On Sunday we took on the combination trail from the Alltrails App which climbs the hillside downstream from the dam and circles back down to river level and returns to the Cafe area (for a well deserved snack lunch after 5+ hours of walking), and back along the Sika trail to the campground, a total of 14.5km.
