From our last WiIdlflower stop at Petrudor Rocks it was a 70km drive to the small settlement of Miling, now bypassed and having only three operating retail businesses left in town the Roadhouse being the core incorporating fuel plus the general store, bottle shop and cafe; the others being the Hotel running limited hours 5 days a week as “Miling Accommodation” and the Post Office / Newsagent.
Arriving around lunchtime at the local Caravan Park at the sports ground we walked to the Roadhouse for a great lunch of Fish ‘n Chips and salad.
The Miling Sportsground Caravan Park:
Friday morning we travelled on to Perth, a distance of 204km, to return to the Crystal Brook Caravan Park, this time for 2 months as Frances is going to the UK to visit sister Margaret for 4 weeks but first the Perth half marathon on September 6th; yesterday morning training at Petrudor completing 20km.
