Tin Can Bay was the first coastal caravan park we stayed in back in 2014 in our first year and having to get our fridge looked at we returned to the same CP, the Tin Can Bay Tourist Park. It was a good park then but even better now with new amenities and one of the best Camp Kitchens we have seen for the tent campers (and others). Spacious sites and friendly hosts and staff.
The town of Tin Can Bay hasn’t changed as a walk around the foreshore showed but we did take the time to explore Rainbow beach (see next post) this time and went up to the huge sand dune area known as the Carlo Sand Blow, this is visible from Tin Can Bay as seen below and runs from the inland side of the coastal ridge to the top of the Rainbow beach Cliffs.
