Having diverted to do the walk along the way we had lunch in the van before continuing the short distance to the Victoria RIver Roadhouse who also has a large Caravan park at the rear. Earlier in the year this place was brimming with vans while the WA border was open but now we were one of only about four for the night.
We had an excellent dinner in the roadhouse and next morning went out early to tackle the walk up the escarpment just a few kms back down the Highway. This walk is about a 1km climb to the top but this time Keith’s ability gave out half way up but Frances made it to the top and completed the photographic record!
