Our third stopover, this time for 2 nights again at the Shire Caravan Park, a very new facility with online booking and “pick your own site” on arrival. Plenty of space with no more than 8 to 10 here each night and over 30 sites.
After arriving we took a 3km walk around part of the town including the sports area silos and main road. On Wednesday while walking the Wildflower Trail (next Post) we also looked at the local outdoor farm museum commemorating Koobabbie Farm, a local property that was in the same family for 114 years from 1906 to 2021, a few smaller buildings and much machinery has been located here in the centre of town for all to see.
