The continuation of the walk from Murray Bay can take you on a longer loop via another lookout point at Mother Beddock; the alternative which we did was to climb to Mother Beddock from Rose Bay, another of the small satellite beaches around the Bowen peninsula. A climb of around 1km it is reasonably easy with a flat start and then a few short sections of steps and the rest a steady climb.
