Since leaving Broome we had been doing “something” every day so after the Gibb plus Kununurra and Lake Arglyle have opted for a slower week here in the Wyndham Caravan park – the cost (of $300 for the week – 6 nights st $50 plus one free) was considerably more attractive than Lake Argyle’s $72/night !
On the way to Wyndham as you cross the last range, is the Lookout at Maggie’s Valley with his view of the ranges to the West:
After arriving on Friday we did a short walk around the town area, very sad to see so many closed businesses, only one out of four garage/workshop businesses left, and a total of 3 shops, Supermarket, News/Post, and Liquor Store. The highlight at the entrance to town is The Big Croc.
