May 10 onwards, 2018
Having stayed at Corowa for 3 weeks courtesy of Rob and Trish we had to move the van as they had a builder coming in and we needed to clear the driveway. As our Landcruiser engine was now with the engine rebuilder we used their Challenger once more to tow the van to here at the Wodonga Caravan and Cabin Park.
As we were going to stay for a probable 2 weeks plus they gave us a nice open spot at the back, in front of the unpowered section (not very popular in this colder weather!). There are still a lot of travellers coming through from all directions despite being almost Winter officially. We are getting nights as low as 1 or 2 (although often higher) and days of around mid teens if it is cloudy, otherwise close to 20 if sunny; we are certainly acclimatising to Winter mode.
Location here is OK with shopping centre about 1.6Km away and an easy flat walk, Frances is getting her afternoon walks along the various walking paths along the creeks around here, venturing under the Motorway and past Wodonga Station on occasions, or down to the town centre and back.
The latest news is that our rebuilt engine will not be ready to put back in the cruiser until at east the middle of next week (May 30?) so we will be here for another week at least! …more later
