We ended up spending a week at Olivia’s and the van fit very well on the nature strip. Before leaving we invested in some new towing mirrors with a much wider fit and braced back to the door with a suction cup.
We also re-organised the back of the car and put several items on the under utilised roof rack. These were our awning walls and our new grey water tanks which I made up while at Liv’s. We decided to find a cover to fit over this and on the way north stopped over in Warana and picked up a 6×4 trailer cover which should be about the right size (we hope); more on that later.

First 2 nights back on the road were spent at Eumundi at the RV Park which is a corner of the markets carpark; at $15/night this is fairly good value although you are part of the carpark on Saturday morning with cars parked right up to the van and the awning rolled in! As you can see the weather was pretty dismal, it did sort of fine up for the markets (just light showers) and we had a stroll around but only bought some fresh local strawberries ($7/Kg)

We left here Saturday 2pm after the carpark cleared (2 day max stay here) and just went 47km up the road to the rest area at Six Mile Creek, about 5km South of Gympie.
