Lake Sambell lies within the town of Beechworth and theNorthern end houses the Lake Sambell Caravan Park, one of two in the town. We decided to stay here fr just 2 nights to give us an extra almost two days to explore more of the town and surrounds.
The Lake has a large picnic area (top) and walking tracks as well as the Caravan Park at the end; you can fish in the Lake but boating is not catered for. The Caravan Park is a large area with a large selection of cabins as well as powered and unpowered camping sites, some with Lake views. We picked a quieter spot at he back where Tess could wander around on the grass without having to be tethered.
