Above: View from Cape Tourville Circuit
September 23, 2019
Once again, Sunday morning came up clear and blue sky so we ventured out again for a couple of short walks. On the way to the Wineglass Bay carpark you pass the turnoff to Cape Tourville. Along the way is a small car park and a 2km return walk down to the Sleepy Bay foreshore.
.As you descend to the shore the views open up, from here mostly to the East and then North (we are on the Eastern side of the peninsula, North of Wineglass Bay)
At the bottom of the path is the outlet from a creek, currently dry and great views out along the Northerly coastline (towards Cape Tourville in fact)
Another few kilometres along the road and you arrive at Cape Tourville and it’s lighthouse (not accessible to the public). here is a loop walk of a bit over a kilometre with some of the most stunning views of the coastline. The walkway perches right on the egde of the cliff in one section, not for those inclined to vertigo!
