This morning we moved on from the River and Rocks Campground and here take a farewell look at both there and Coles Bay township. Coles Bay has two small convenience stores, one with fuel and not much else in shopping. Bicheno is only 40km away, and Swnsea about 50 so the area is well catered for at a distance.
Coles Bay – Above
Being on the Western side of the Freycinet peninsula, Coles Bay provides a very sheltered section of coastline with a couple of small jetties and boat ramps to cater for the local fishermen and the tourist boats. A Pacific Gull is seen in one of the images cruising gracefully along the estuary

A farewell look at the Swan River at River and Rocks, the mouth of the river here bends Eastwards to the sea and past the small cluster of houses which is Swanwick.
