The Neck is the narrow spit of land (sand) which joins North and South Bruny, it has a Lookout at the northern end and a Campground at the Southern end. We decided to finish our Bruny Island visit by staying here for three nights ($10/night, managed by Parks and Wildlife). The weather closed in while we were at the Caravan Park so the first couple of days were wet and windy. We managed to fit in a drive to Bruny Island Chocolate and the Bruny Island Cheese Factory coming away with choc, cheese, jam and presents!
Wednesday we found a break in the weather and walked to the lookout and back along the beach, return about 7km and didn’t get wet!
Images here of the beach access and walk and views from the Truganini Lookout.
