As the year is coming to an end we looked for another new location around the northside and settled on the Beachmere Caravan Park. Another Moreton Council park with a cost of only $204/week similar to Bells at Clontarf. Originally booked for 2 weeks we finally found a repairer to fix our gas stove which had 2 burners out of action and was conveniently near the Caboolture airport, so only a few km away; this resulted in extending our stay for another week and moving across the driveway to another site.
Beachmere is well catered for with a large IGA supermarket and Caboolture only 20km away. We had several walks along the beach at low tide and twice around the Conservation Reserve at the northern end.
While we were there the pair of plovers nesting behind us had 2 chicks but unfortunately neither survived the local predatory raptors .
