Broad Arrow, the penultimate location on the Golden Quest Discovery Trail, has the last remaining in use railway water tank on the Goldfields holding some 25,000 gallons. At it’s height Broad Arrow was home to 2,400 people and now only the Broad Arrow Tavern and 2 houses are all that remains. The Tavern is well known fro both being part of the 1971 movie Silver City, and for it’s autographed walls, all of which are corrugated iron. We stayed here for lunch as it is only a further 45km into Kalgoorlie and the end of the trail.

The final destination on the Trail is the Kalgoorlie Super Pit which we visited in July on our first visit here en route to Perth, blog post here
