Heading back to Wodonga for the Landcruiser 1000km service (after the new engine) we stopped for the night at this small Rest Area near Chiltern, named after the Browns Plains School which once stood here. An information sign and a plaque mark the spot, now grazed by the local farmer’s sheep. Across the road is a new monument under construction but so far nothing attached to the large rock set in a concrete pad to advise what it is for.
