In order to visit Thomas and his family who are staying with Renee at Paradise Point we went down to the Campground at Sharp Park near Canungra. There are not many options for places to stay with Dogs around the Gold Coast and this was the most convenient.
This has been a campground for many years, owned by the Council and with a resident caretaker it has been updated considerably in recent times with the addition last year of up to 16 powered sites (4 x 4 way power posts).
As the weather was promising cloud and rain we opted for a powered site this time which was just as well when we had 248mm of rain on the 23rd!
The pictures quite a bit of water still around and the Coomera River, which runs through the Reserve, was running much higher after a day and a half of downpour.
We visited Thomas on the Saturday and Sunday and managed to get outside for Lunch and the playground at Southport, opposite Australia Fair Shopping Centre.
